DENTAL IMPLANTS
Dental implants are a medical advancement in tooth replacement. They can provide you with a “natural” look that will renew your sense of comfort with your smile. Implants can also enhance your eating choices and improve your speech. We offer dental implants as a more secure and long-term solution to eliminate the discomfort and slippage that so many people experience with dentures. Implants can provide a firm anchor for one replacement tooth, for a denture or for several individual teeth.

RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY
Preventative measures need to be a part of any general oral health plan. In circumstances where damage has already been done however, more intensive procedures may be needed to bring teeth back to their healthy appearance and operation. Our staff will keep you informed on the options that will relieve pain, repair damage, improve your bite and get you back to normal function and look.

ROOT CANAL

A root canal is a treatment to repair and save a badly damaged or infected tooth. The procedure involves removing the damaged area of the tooth (the pulp), cleaning and disinfecting it and then filling and sealing it. The common causes affecting the pulp are a cracked tooth, a deep cavity, repeated dental treatment to the tooth or trauma. The term "root canal" comes from cleaning of the canals inside the tooth's root.

OUR SERVICES

CLEANING & PREVENTION
Prevention and early detection are key to maintaining proper dental hygiene, while avoiding tooth decay and gum disease. A good home regimen, in addition to regular check-ups, will help you avoid most oral maladies.

COSMETIC DENTISTRY
If there are any flaws in your smile, whether it is chipped, crooked, or stained teeth, Dr. Josephson can help. Anything that a patient wants to correct in their smile because it is not aesthetically pleasing can be addressed with a number of cosmetic dentistry procedures such as veneers, crowns, veneers, or a combination of various techniques.

GUM DISEASE
Periodontal (Gum) disease affects a large portion of the population. It is a disease that causes pockets or spaces in the gum tissue, allowing bacteria to enter. The build up of plaque causes the gums to become inflamed. Normal brushing cannot reach this build up and over time, if left untreated, the pockets continue to get deeper. Symptoms may include bad breath, red and puffy gums, bleeding gums and loose or sensitive teeth.

TOOTH WHITENING
Sometimes a smile doesn't look as healthy as it actually is. If your teeth look dull and yellow, but are otherwise healthy, tooth whitening may be all that is stopping you from having a show-stopping smile. Dr. Josephson can choose the whitening option that best fits your needs.

IN-OFFICE WHITENING
An in-office whitening procedure can give you a striking smile in a single visit. This treatment involves several applications of bleach solution to your teeth while utilizing a protective barrier for gum tissue. It results in "erasing" surface stains and irregularities leaving you with a whiter, brighter smile.

TAKE-HOME WHITENING
Take-home whitening treatments also use a special tray that fits comfortably over your teeth. A less powerful whitening gel is used than in doctor-supervised treatments, but you will receive specific instructions on how to complete your own treatment. Usually, you will see results over several days or weeks, after which your new, white smile should be easy to maintain!
